Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed Cloud Applications Software Developer to join our team in the Herndon, VA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in designing, building, and deploying scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential. In this role, the candidate will collaborate with current application teams to understand and integrate with existing systems. They will also serve as a subject matter expert within the development team, providing support to troubleshoot operational issues as they arise. This position requires an active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems
- Collaborate with current application teams to understand and integrate with existing systems
- Serve as a subject matter expert within the development team, providing support to troubleshoot operational issues as they arise
- Work with the team to develop and maintain a continuous integration and delivery pipeline
- Develop and maintain RESTful services
- Maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation
- Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using NiFi
- Develop and maintain data storage using Postgres and MongoDB
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related or an additional 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated proficiency using NiFi
- 6+ years of Java experience
- 2+ years of C2S experience (including EC2, S3, and CloudFormation)
- Demonstrated experience in continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Experience with Spring Boot and REST Service Development
- Demonstrated experience using Elasticsearch
- Demonstrated experience using Kafka
- Demonstrated experience with datasets both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Postgres)
- Demonstrated experience with Docker containers
- Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with Polygraph.
